Class 3 Drivers for these organizations are responsible for the routine collection of residential waste and recycling material in a given geographic territory by side-load or rear-load trucks and delivery of this material to disposal sites. This position may include physical exertion such as repetitive lifting and pushing/pulling receptacles that weigh from 50 to 75 pounds as part of their daily routine.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must possess a Class 3 (or greater) license with airbrake endorsement;
- Provide a drivers abstract;
- Able to perform the physical requirements of this position including but not limited to;
- Lifting, pushing and pulling receptacles that weigh between 50-70lbs repeatedly;
- Mounting and dismounting trucks repeatedly throughout their shift;
- Crouching, bending, standing and sitting repeatedly throughout their shift;
- Comply with all local and provincial transportation regulations and company policies;
- Communicate professionally with customers and fellow employees at all times;
- Work required hours which includes overtime, weekend and/or holiday work but will vary by route;
- Must be able to read and understand maps;
- Complete daily driver logs as well as pre and post trip truck inspections;
- Work in all weather conditions such as hot or cold, wet or dry;
- Weekly pay;
- Competitive hourly pay rate ($19.00 per hour) plus 4% vacation pay;

- Overtime offered after 48 hours per week.
